It was soooooooooooo fun. I was a little nervous at first getting the balance down. The staff was very patient and we had such a good time. After 20 minutes I felt very comfortable. It was great family fun. We went to the JFK exhibit after wards. Ate at a great Thai/Sushi place right by the aquarium. I would definitely do this again. THANKS DALLAS! Houston needs this to see downtown Houston.

Absolutely the best way to see Dallas. I'm 15 and it was the coolest tour i have ever been on. The training section was easily understood and very easy to get started riding a segway. Our tour guide was wonderful. She was polite, Knowledgeable, and even takes pictures during the tour. I was the highlight of our Texas Trip. Thanks Segway Tours

It was an enjoyable way to get outside and head down the Katy trail. The guides were helpful, patient, informative and fun. I look forward to trying the downtown tour another time. They did a nice job with the pictures and were very attentive to safety.

The people at Dallas Segway Tours were prompt at responding to my last minute email request but all tours were booked for my last day in town. Shortly after speaking with them I received another call. They added another tour to their schedule for us. Our small group of two set off on our Segways with our guide. We glided through trees along park paths and went off across the grass. Having already toured Dallas, this tour showed us a different side. It was all fun, from learning to control the Segway to gliding down bike paths and back streets. Come ride with Dallas Segway Tours to learn more about Dallas or just to ride a Segway.

We had a great time on Memorial Day 2011. I've lived in Dallas for 30 years and never get out of my car down town. It was so great to see the sites from street level. The Longhorn herd was great and never knew there was an old cemetery by the Longhorns. Besides, the Segway's were so much fun and easy to use! The staff is great! I'll be back.

Two stars because riding a segway is just plain fun. Two stars because this tour outfit treats everyone like children. If you want to go on a boring segway ride, single file, do not...and I repeat do not disobey the guides or they will let you know, and stop, stop, stop continously for photo ops.. then this is for you. No fun.

What a wonderful way to tour Dallas! I always do a tour to check out the area and get a taste of the local history on my first day in a new city. My husband will only do touring if there is a fun way to do the tour. Segway Tours are a great way for both of us to enjoy touring! Our group of three had a blast! Cyndi and Frankie were great tour guides. We had fun and learned a lot about Dallas. Being able to download pictures from the tour was also a nice option we have never had before. Thank you! Great fun and a wonderful way to see Dallas. The Segway is easy to learn how to use (I was a bit concerned) and Cyndi is very good. We ordered the tour for our Son's birthday. He lives in Carrollton, Texas. We didn't really know what to expect as we had never been on a Segway before. All 4 us had a great time. This tour was the highlight of my Christmas vacation. I went with my son, Andy, from NYC. We had a great time. Dallas Segway Tours staff taught us to ride individually, thoroughly and quickly. This is a great experience. The training is done thoroughly and makes you feel comfortable before starting out. The trainers are courteous and patient. The tour is interesting allowing plenty of Segway time and variety while providing breaks at just the right time. The amount of sights covered is just right with interesting background provided. Safety is a top priority throughout the tour. The Segway is so easy to ride and a great way to get around. The staff is extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this as a must-do in Dallas.

Bring everyone. A great way to learn Dallas lore for history buffs, and just getting to ride the Segway around downtown for two hours will keep the most cynical teens entertained. It was 45 degrees during our tour and we loved it. We will be back.

Our family of 4 with 2 teenage boys love adventure and this proved to be fun and adventurous. The segways are as much fun as they look so we recommend this for just about anyone who is somewhat coordinated. The staff are wonderful to work with and help make it a very enjoyable time. They are patient and make sure you are comfortable and ready to go. They are happy to take plenty of pictures with their camera for free downloads as well as your own camera for lots of photo opportunities. We would do it again and recommend it highly. We enjoyed the Katy Trail but will try another trail next time.

I went to Dallas to visit my sister who had recently moved there and had the best time touring downtown on Segways. What a great way to see the sights and learn about a city's history. The tour guides were well informed and very friendly and fun. I felt extremely comfortable and confident to ride on the segway after the instructional lesson and felt very safe traveling through the sidewalks and streets. But the best part about the tour is that they take photos for you! They were able to capture moments gliding through the streets as well as in front of all the sights. I definitely would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a great and informative segway experience. Every city should offer a Segway Tour! I had a blast. Thanks again Dallas Segway Tours!

I want to start with a Big Thank You to Dallas Segway for giving us such a wonderful experience. First of all, we were late to our tour and they worked with us to reschedule for same day and accommodate our schedule, providing excellent customer service. We were given all needed info over the phone, price was discussed ahead of time, no hidden surprises or costs. Then, when we arrived for out tour ( on time this time) we were given detailed instructions by the guide on how to use Segway. She and a police officer trained us until we were comfortable and only then they started the tour. I, being not the skinniest of all people and having issues with balance, was kinda afraid to start with, but they took their time explaining and showing me again and again, until I could ride it myself. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, the history she gave us was more than I would ever had learned on my own. She answered our questions, knew more that what tour was about as my husband asked other questions about Downtown and TX history and she was great, giving us information and answers. Being escorted by police officer, who watched for our safety and held traffic was not only safe, but kinda cool. How often do you get followed by a cop who is not after you, but is there for you! We loved every minute of this experience and will definitely do it again. Thank you Segway, you gave us unforgettable memories ( and free photos are great, too )! Thank you!

My wife, daughter and I did the Katy Trail tour and would certainly recommend it to anyone!! As many have said, Buster and Cindi were great and with their instruction, it didn't take long to catch on to the Segway - what a wonderful way to travel!! We had the awesome experience of seeing Troy Aikman jogging on the trail but were assured that that part of the tour is not guaranteed!! We would like to return sometime and do the downtown tour. The staff was very knowledgeable about the operation of a Segway. I felt like I was trained adequately to begin the tour. This was one of the MOST enjoyable experiences ever! I would recommend it to everyone --- I would suggest to go in the Fall, Winter or Spring. I do not think it would be enjoyable in the Summer heat. The Segways are so fun and easy to drive. The Tour Guides are very nice and helpful.

This was so much fun! The folks at Segway tours, from the moment of contact through training and the tour with Cyndi and Buster, were just great. I saw and heard about places in Dallas I never knew about and I've been a neighbor for years. Gliding was fun in itself, but gliding around that part of Dallas was beautiful as well. My teenage nephews and I greatly anticipated learning to Segway and our expectations were exceeded in every respect. The bonus of the free online photos is really appreciated. We recently visited Dallas for the first time. The fastest way to learn about a city is to take a bus tour, but this time we opted for a Segway tour instead. This was the most exhilarating tour our family has ever taken. It was like taking an educational course in history, customs and culture while gliding around town on a contraption similar to a hover board, much like the transportation used in the movie, “Back to the Future”. Coming to the Big D from the hollers of the Ozarks, I can honestly say that I haven’t had as much fun since the hogs ate Grandma! Usually, I’m clumsy and have a hard time trying to keep from tripping over my cordless phone so I was afear’d I wouldn’t be able to ride this new fangled contraption, but my tour guide Cindy was able to learnt me quicker than you can spit and say howdy.

Howdy folks, this is Tom. Don’t take my wife literally, the hogs never ate Grandma. Grandma is alive and well. What Glenda’s trying ta say about this herein Segway tour is: It’s more exciting than snuff and not nearly as dusty. but I’ve got to speak plain out…This tour ain’t for the cuss who holds a quarter so tight that the eagle screams. Y’all got to live and let live, if ya’ll know what I mean. Get-r-done! Ya’ll only live once.

I found Dallas Segway Tours while searching for ‘stuff to do’ in Dallas. It looked like a fun adventure for us 30 to 50 something’s. We were all pleasantly surprised by the fun, high-quality West End tour we received from Cindi and Dirk and the lesson was just long enough. My mother-in-law and I were the most nervous since I have terrible balance and she is a ‘Grandma’. After the 30 minute lesson we were off and she said ‘I could ride this thing all day’. We covered a lot of ground and learned so much about Dallas that we wouldn’t have otherwise known. Keep up the great tours – WE WILL BE BACK! PS – Thanks for the pictures.

Had a friend visiting from out of town and wanted to have fun while seeing some of Dallas. This was the perfect thing. It was WAYYY fun!
Our instructors were wonderful and it was so easy to learn. Next thing you know, we were riding and having a blast.
We did the Katy trail and just loved it. The ride was nice and quiet and there was an amazing scent of flowers in the air. Life was good.
We will come back to do other tours and bring lots of friends.

I sent a tour request via this website and received a phone call about an hour later confirming that I had a booking for this weekend. I was in meetings at the time so when I phoned back a few hours later I was told that my reserved spot had been taken by someone else (despite the fact the voicemail said and I quote: "We have received your request and confirm you are booked on the 10am tour. Please phone me back with your credit card details to process the payment")
I am sure the tour is great (although I will never find out now!) but the overall customer service is terrible. If this is how you run a business and treat potential customers, I would be highly NOT RECOMMEND this tour to anyone. (although I doubt that this will ever be posted on the website... selective comment filtering and all)

My family and I had a great time on the West End Adventure tour! The segways were a blast and Cindi and Buster did a great job as tour guides. We saw several sites that we hadn't yet seen in Dallas. This was an awesome experience. If you are in Dallas and are looking for something to do this is a must. I highly recommend the Segway. The 2.5 hr tour only seemed like 30 minutes. It went by so fast. The tour, the tour guide were excellent. It was a very fun adventure.

1) Of three major city Segway Tours, this was the poorest;
2) Constant stopping - too much talking
3) Oliver Stone version of JFK was simply offensive
4) Safety is important - Safety guy was overzealous however, becoming almost parental with some of the patrons. Fine line between caution and sucking the fun out of the event - he crossed it.
5) Gratuity campaign is overkill. The idea that the tour guides ONLY get paid from tips is simply inappropriate.
6) Would not recommend.

I loved the tour and riding the Segway was a lot of fun and easy to do. I just gave it 4 stars because our hour and half tour was really only 55 minutes. The training took 30 minutes since there were only 3 trainers for 9 people. There was a lot of standing around waiting.
Also the tour director stopped us twice for a rest. I didn't need to rest. I would have enjoyed riding further. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. We did the Katy trail and it was very pretty.

If I could give Jeff and Dirk 10 stars I would!!! My family and I took the 2PM tour of Downtown Dallas. While we would have preferred the temperature to be a little cooler, Jeff and Dirk were clearly aware of this and went out of their way to ensure that our breaks were in the shade. None of us had ever rode a Segway before but in no time, they had us well on our way to becoming little professionals! Not only did they make us feel comfortable, they gave relevant details about the sites we visited (and a few we weren't able to!)!

The pictures don't lie (except they added about 10 pounds) - Dirk did a fantastic job!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour to anyone and everyone!

We were extremely nervous about operating the Segway, but felt very comfortable after receiving the thorough orientation prior to our tour departure. It was also a plus to receive water bottles in the provided backpacks - very necessary in the hot Texas heat and also convenient to stash your personal items. A tour guide stayed with the Segway and attached items while we visited restrooms, sites, etc. Jeff was very shade-oriented, which also helped us enjoy our tour! My mom came in from Illinois and she has always wanted to take a Segway trip, so I made reservations for the West end tour. It did not disappoint! We loved it, we has such a good time that when she returns we will be scheduling the Katy trail trip. Bravo!!!

Jeff was wonderful. He has gentle and interested in what we wanted to see and hear. He was in-training and didn't know everything yet. Then Cindy took over and I didn't enjoy her as much. She seemed to be a drama queen and couldn't remember names and just seemed to rush us through the last part. I hated the comment she made about the JFK memorial ...she said "it looks like a lego". I had a great time! It was my first time on a Segway. After a few minutes of instruction from the professional staff, then riding a Segway a block or two, it was very simple to master the "new horse in town."

The tour I enjoyed was the downtown, West End tour. You see much more than the West End and learn about the history and nuances that make Dallas a one-of-a-kind city.

Even though I have lived in Dallas for over 30 years, Cindy, our tour guide pointed out beautiful old buildings, art works, and future sites of construction and points of interest indicating there is significant growth in downtown Dallas. This is something you won't learn driving through the city and can cover much more distance than a walking tour.

I recommend anyone, any age, to take a spin with the wonderful folks at Dallas Segway Tours.

AWESOME! These little machines can move. I thought we would just be putt-putt'n along but they get-up-and go. Derek and Cyndi know their tour information and facts. I am from Dallas but had forgotten some the exciting places to tour. It rained on us some but it was still fun. People waived and smiled at us the whole tour. Safety is first with Cyndi and Derek and they make sure you know the rules -of the-road. The training for "driving" the machine is very easy and they make sure you are comfortable with the machine before you take off. I will be back...the only complaint I have is Segway's should be in different colors with flames, like "Pimp My Segway". Loved it!

10 stars!!! (5 twice) This was SO MUCH FUN we couldn't even believe it! It was a kind of drizzly morning, but that didn't dampen the fun. The Segway is easy to learn to ride, and so smooth. Cindy and Dirk were great hosts, had tons of interesting facts about our route; they even took pictures for us for free! We were really impressed with the caution and safety that Cindy and Dirk showed throughout our tour. Everybody along the route waves and smiles--it's a great way to meet people! If you've been in Dallas for 20 years or 20 minutes, this is a fabulous way to spend a couple of relaxing, enjoyable hours. We're going back for another tour soon (not soon enough!)! BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!!

I was nervous about riding a Segway because at 60 years old, I don't have the same amount of balance and coordination that I once I had. My husband and I had no problem. The instruction at the beginning of the tour was outstanding. The guide spent as much time as I needed one on one until I got the hang of it and felt comfortable. It only took about 10 minutes to master the Segway. I would definitely do this again and have already recommended to others.

The Segway was easy to ride after the first 30 seconds of getting on. I even asked the tour guide to let me ride faster. I saw many things in downtown Dallas that I had never seen before. I have lived in Dallas for 5 years now and as a resident i would definitely recommend this tour. You don't need to be out of town to take advantage of the Segway Tour in Dallas. The instructors are very good and instructing how to navigate the Segway. Riding them is enough fun in itself, cruising the streets of downtown, riding on different terrain and of course the tour itself! We saw parts of Dallas that i had not seen in my five years of residence! We were instructed on amazing information of Dallas History which included Dealy plaza, the courthouse, the Grassy knoll, Dallas History Museum, and of course the Building architecture. They ensure safety and are very well aware of the surroundings. We were cruising the streets of downtown near lunchtime and made it back in one piece. Enough to definitely go back and enjoy the other tours! I cannot wait to get back on and take another ride!!
Dallas, you definitely need to do this.

Having never ridden on a Segway before, my friend and I decided to go on this tour on a very cold Sunday afternoon. Though it was very cold (~35 F), we were determined to have fun. When we arrived, we found we were the only takers that day, which meant more fun for us. At first, we were wary about riding it, but Cindy and Dirk, our guides, were great and patient on teaching us on controlling and using the Segway safely. If you're worried about losing control of the Segway and go flying into streets while you're riding through downtown, don't be. In about 10 min of learning, we were ready to go on our American Airlines tour. The guides will ensure you are trained to be in total control of your Segway, including going up and down ramps/bumps before letting the actual tour begin. Neither of us had any mishaps with the Segway and everything went smoothly throughout the trip. Our guides had our safety in mind as one of them would always be on the watch out for potential incoming cars. To say the least, it was a great tour that doesn't get any better. I'm definitely coming back for the 2.5 hour-tour (since 1-hr is too short), hopefully in warmer weathers. Let's glide!

We enjoyed the Austin Segway tour that we were excited to get to take my brother visiting from NC on the downtown Dallas tour this past weekend. The tour here was informative and fun and a very unique experience to remember. We had a great time and enjoyed the tour. The instructor/tour guide was very patient with my brother who was new at riding but he caught on pretty quick. It's like riding a bike. Relax and have a fun time with it! We took the 2 1/2 hour downtown tour and loved every minute of it despite being a little leg weary at the end. Believe it or not if you're not used to standing in one position for that long can be just a bit taxing (even with the frequent walk around and sit down breaks). We covered lots of ground, saw the sights from a very different angle and were like a couple of kids riding around on our new toys. We were given good riding instruction up front and got very comfortable very quickly. By the way, neither of us are particularly athletic or acrobatic so if we can do it most everyone should be able to as well. We plan to return for the Katy Trail tour the next time we are in the area. Highly recommended. Lots of fun.

My husband and I took the downtown tour. It was awesome! Our guide Cindy was very knowledgeable about the various sites and history of Dallas. We were worried at first about being able to operate the Segway, but they really take the time teaching you how to use the Segway and make sure your comfortable before you leave on the tour. A lot of the tour is in the shade which helps keep you cool and they provide water for you too! We highly recommend taking a Segway tour, it makes seeing the sights a lot more memorable and fun!

Our family took the Segway tour last weekend on July 5th. It was so much fun! Really something different to do. We have an 18 and 20 year old, who both enjoyed it. I was worried about trying to drive it, but it was really easy to learn. The guides are really patient and careful. And it was fun accelerating!!! I took the Katy Trail tour and after a thorough check out we were off to see the Trail. This tour also takes you around the American Airlines Center. During the hot weather, the Center has several sidewalk grates discharging cool air.... really felt great. Our tour guide Cindy was great! Very informative on the areas. Katy Trail is a quiet and peaceful glide. I took this tour to experience the Segway as well as the Katy Trail. Both were great!

This is so awesome. 11 people from our family reunion took the Segway tour and I can truly say it was one of the highlights of our reunion. Our guides trained us well and were very pleasant and helpful during the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have an awesome experience.

The Segway tour was the best thing I did while in Dallas-- it was so much fun! The tour was a birthday present from my boyfriend and he couldn't have chosen a better gift. We were able to see things in Dallas that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to see due to time constraints. The Smiths were fantastic tour guides-- very entertaining and informative! At first I thought that I might kill myself on the Segway but after some very good instructions from Mr. Smith, I found it extremely easy. I wanted to ride it all day! I definitely recommend the Dallas Segway Tour-- you won't be disappointed!

My mom is visiting from Rochester, NY and we decided to do a Segway Tour of Dallas! It was freezing cold but TOO much fun! Dirk, Cindy and Ryan couldn't have been better hosts! We enjoyed every moment and hope to do another one in the summer! Thank you so much Dirk, Cindy and Ryan! You guys really made it special for us. If anyone is worried about riding a Segway just know that Dirk is a great teacher and you will not regret it for a minute!

I took my teenage daughter and her boyfriend for a Segway tour.  I didn’t know if they were going to hate it or love it.  They  LOVED it.  I’ve lived in the Dallas area for 27 years and I also learned some things I didn’t know.  The weather was great and all the people were so friendly.  The bus drivers, light rail conductors and even the policemen smiled at us when we rolled by all in a row.  We can’t wait for our relatives to come visit so we can take them.  I know they’ll really enjoy the tour. I thought I was going to be too old to keep up with the kids, but I didn’t have any trouble at all!  I can’t wait to go again!

My husband and I had our first Segway experience this past weekend. In an effort to find something fun and different to celebrate my husband’s birthday, I stumbled across the Dallas Segway website. I thought it looked fun and might be something my husband would enjoy. The tour was a huge SUCCESS and my husband told me it was one of the best birthday gifts he has ever received!! The weather was beautiful and the tour was wonderful. Dirk and Ryan were our tour guides and they were GREAT. They first taught us how to ride the Segway and then we were off to enjoy the sites and sounds!! On our tour we made stops at the John F. Kennedy Memorial, Dealey Plaza, Ferris Fountain, Pioneer Cemetery, City Hall and much more! This tour was so much fun and we can’t wait to go again. My family lives in North Carolina and we are already making plans to go on the Segway tour when they come for a visit.

Don’t be deceived, this tour is not designed for only tourists. Even Dallas natives will thoroughly enjoy the tour and will learn things about our history that is not commonly known. If you are like my husband, you will also enjoy riding the Segway so much that you will come away wanting to have your own Segway.

I give this tour a 5 star rating!!
